The Elements of Reconnective Massage

Esalen Massage

The sources of this rich work are many with the practitioner translating it into a personal art form bringing a knowledge of strokes, of muscles and bones, of movement, and of listening to the body. This unique approach to bodywork is known worldwide as Esalen Massage. The long, slow, tai chi-like strokes awaken awareness as the tissues which open through touch…, coupled with intention, As the contact deepens and bound-up muscles let go, the practitioner responds to the signs of relaxation drawing forth expanded movement. Each session is unique guided by intuition, tailored by personal requests, comfort level, physical tension and release.

Acupressure

Jin Shin Acupressure is a healing art developed in Asia over 5,000 years ago that works using the meridian system (the same system used in Acupuncture). Its use of gentle finger pressure on specific acupressure points of the body has been known to aid in tension relief, increased circulation, reduced pain, and aiding in the development of more vibrant health patterns

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese style of bodywork for balancing the body’s bio-energy utilizing powerful yet gentle stretches and rhythmic pressing along the classic meridian system (energy pathways) of the body to help balance your body’s core, soothe the nervous system, and structurally bring the right and left sides of the body into harmony (alignment).

Deep Bodywork

A combination of classic Deep Tissue techniques and Myofascial Release done at a very slow pace striving to gain release from restrictions that are held deep within the body’s muscle and fascia tissues.

Relationship

• Communication is essential to the success of any relationship. It is important for us to have clear, open and artful communication. Together we can  create successful and impactful workshops.
• Honesty… with us and yourself. What we are looking to do is establish win/win relationships that foster mutual growth. If communication or self-promotion is a challenge for you, maybe you’re just getting started or have areas of uncertainty, we need to know… so that we may move forward intelligently. This will prevent us from wasting each other’s time or possibly that of those that may attend an event.
